UPDATE: Sunday, September 20. 2020
Dear Harvest CFC Family,
We love and miss all of you and we can’t wait to get back together again in person. Commencing Sunday, September 27 we will be offering both ONSITE and ONLINE services. However, as the health and safety of our staff and members remains our utmost concern we have adapted a SLOW, SURE & STEADFAST approach to our reopening strategy. This means we remain SURE and CONFIDENT that the Lord goes before us and that we can trust him to grant us the Faith and Wisdom we need to stay in step with the Holy Spirit in the day’s ahead. Being STEADFAST is a declaration of our COMMITMENT to proceed intentionally while evaluating weekly.
SAFETY FIRST! Please be assured that we realize each and every person at Harvest CFC has spiritual, emotional, and social needs that are best supported through regular face to face gatherings and this objective will remain our highest goal as long as it’s safe and manageable.
Please know that we are working very closely with our building managers to ensure best practices are being followed for proper cleaning and sanitization protocols as put in place by the Alberta Health professionals. Of course we must also stress that the facility is accessible to the public and as such it’s impossible to guarantee that the building is a COVID free environment. Attending an ONSITE service will always involve risk like any other public gatherings place. To help keep people safe we will comply with ALL AHS guidelines by limiting the number of seats available, following physical distancing protocols, wearing masks (City of Calgary Bylaw), setting up online registration and contact tracking protocols and eliminating any ministry activities that increase risk factors through contact.
ONSITE & ONLINE WILL BE OUR ONGOING STRATEGY: Our team at Harvest CFC have been committed to producing excellent online services at our normal service times since all of this craziness began. It is our intention to continue this and to equally value both our ONSITE and ONLINE congregations as we move forward. This means that we invite all of our members and potential members to assess their comfort and risk level and then determine the level of involvement they would be comfortable with. Some may choose to only be involved ONLINE, others might feel the ONSITE option is best for them. Whatever you chose we will do our utmost to provide powerful, anointed worship and relevant and meaningful messages both Onsite and Online. Our ministry team will continue to offer prayer and support in both settings. For those in vulnerable categories, we encourage you to continue joining us ONLINE.
Hopefully this helps you understand what we have in mind as we continue to move through the challenges ahead. Once again we do thank you for your willingness to keep giving to the mission, ministry and our ongoing commitment to the message of Grace and Truth at Harvest CFC. We value your prayers, we are thankful for your patience and we trust that we will all be led forth by God’s presence and power in the days ahead.
