con-se-crate … to set apart / to make or declare sacred

Jos 3:5 Joshua said to the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you.”

HERE ARE SOME IDEAS FOR A VIDEO DEVOTIONAL

Feel free to pick ONE of the Day’s below and use it as a resource for your video. Remember the goal is to encourage those fasting and praying to stay the course … ensuring them that as they draw near to God … He has promised to draw near to them.

If you use any of the resources below please let me know which DAY you selected. You can also be creative and come up with your own.

Please send your video to office@harvestcfc.com
as soon as possible!

DAY 1 – MONDAY, FEBRUARY 19.

  • Hebrews 12:1-2 – “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

  • Hosea 6:1 – “Come, and let us return to the Lord; . . .”

  • Hosea 10:12b – “Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the Lord, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you.” (NKJV)

1. Ask the Lord to bring to mind any unconfessed sin/activity, unforgiveness that may be hindering your spiritual race and intimacy with Him. Be open to the conviction of the Holy Spirit and doing some spiritual housecleaning/repenting. Ask the Lord to unfold to you His desire for intimacy and His plan to commune with you.

2. Ask the Lord if there are areas of idolatry He wants you to get rid of. An idol is any area of our lives that comes before the Lord and our service to Him and reduces the grace He can pour into our lives.

In addition, begin considering your priorities. Is every area submitted to the Lordship of Jesus Christ? Seek God regarding: Family, Business, Relationships, Recreation & Hobbies, etc. Are you obeying God in these areas or are you out of balance in any way?

DAY 2 – TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 20.

  • Psalm 133:1-3 – “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! . . .For there the Lord commanded the blessing— Life forevermore.”
  • I Corinthians 11:18 – ” . . . when you come together as a church, I hear that there are divisions among you, . . .”
  • Jeremiah 5:24-25 – “. . . Let us now fear the Lord our God, Who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season. He reserves for us the appointed weeks of the harvest.” 25 Your iniquities have turned these things away, And your sins have withheld good from you.” (NKJV)

Continue reflecting on your life this week in light of the questions posed yesterday.

Take time today to consider any broken relationships in your life that the Lord is calling you to restore and make right? Are there any divisions between you and others that He wants to heal?

Also consider any divisions you are aware of within Harvest CFC – pray that we would have a unity that brings His blessing.

DAY 3 – WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 21.

Pray Colossians 1:9-14 today (for yourself personally and also for our Harvest CFC leaders and church family).

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, 10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, 12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. 13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. (NIV)

Ask the Lord to help you, by His Spirit, to live a life worthy of Him and bear much fruit. Ask Him to show you anything that’s standing in the way of you living such a consecrated life.

DAY 4 – THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 22.

Meditate on Romans 8:26-27 today.

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. (ESV)

How might the Lord be asking you to go deeper in your intercession for others? How can you pray more in the Holy Spirit and allow the Lord to bring breakthrough through those prayers?

Ask the Lord to baptize you afresh with His Holy Spirit. If you’ve never received your own personal prayer language (tongues) ask the Lord to give you this gift so you can connect with God in this powerful way.

DAY 5 – FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 23.

Read and Meditate on John 15:5-8; 16-17

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples . . .
16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. 17 This is my command: Love each other. (NIV)

Our goal for this time of CONSECRATION has been to spend time waiting on the Lord and abiding in His presence – preparing our hearts for a fresh outpouring of His Holy Spirit.

This ongoing practice of waiting and abiding is vital if we are to remain connected with the Lord and bear fruit that lasts and glorifies the Father.

Are there new spiritual rhythms and disciplines the Holy Spirit has guided you into during this time which will help you continue abiding?

Are there any adjustments to your lifestyle or schedule He is asking you to make so you can focus more on this connection with Him?

Is the Holy Spirit calling you to another level in reading and studying the Word of God so that the Lord’s words remain in you? What might that look like?

How does it make you feel to realize the Lord has chosen you to be fruitful and then given you power in His name to fulfill that calling? How can you be more intentional to press into His purposes and put a draw on that power?
